The Black Ball is an annual event that serves as a tribute while raising funds for a scholarship program. The theme of this extravagant affair, Jaguar Legacy: The Prestige of Black Excellence, combines the spirit of Mardi Gras with the elegance of a semi-formal/formal event. The celebration showcases the achievements and contributions of black individuals in various fields, from the arts and entertainment to business and philanthropy. The scholarship fundraiser aims to provide educational opportunities for young black students attending Southern University who may face financial barriers to pursuing their dreams. With its vibrant atmosphere, Black Ball is not just a party, but a meaningful platform to celebrate and support black excellence.
